A Practical Guide to Coach Bags
Coach opened its workshop in 1941 with men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags arrived later before becoming the core of the brand. Structured shoulder bags, relaxed hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues all belong to the current range of coach handbags. Line by line, this overview sets out what each main bag is, when it arrived and how it is put together. Only documented launch dates appear below, and several much-loved lines have no reliable launch year on record.
As opposed to coming from an official price list, the prices here are observed market prices from 2026, and size, material and promotions can all change them. If you are shopping for your first coach bag, you should be aware that similar names can refer to wholly different designs. Some shoppers run a search for a Coach bag by typing “couch bag”, and that can draw furniture listings into the results, because that word also stands for a sofa.
The Tabby
Featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby is a structured shoulder bag which can be worn crossbody too. Inspired by a form from Coach’s 1970s archive, Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019. Its launch campaign, “Dream It Real”, was reportedly created by photographer Juergen Teller. The core product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag, and sizes 20, 26 and 36 have been offered.
In 2021, the padded Pillow Tabby joined the line, sold under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag coach store london 26 With Pillow Quilting. Observed prices for the Tabby 26 came to $475 in the US and £475 in the UK; quilted and special-edition versions cost more. Its easy switch between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it a good fit for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
Brooklyn
The Brooklyn is a slouchy coach shoulder bag in natural-grain leather, far more akin to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. Its release came in August 2024, after a showing on the Fall 2024 runway. Two main sizes have been reported, the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. The 39 is described as large enough for a 15-inch laptop, making it a workable work bag.
Not to be confused with the shoulder styles, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026. On the UK market the Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 at John Lewis. The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said that searches for Coach had climbed 160% and cited the Brooklyn among the bags; the figure, however, measures searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue
The structured satchel in Coach’s range is the Rogue, which comes with top handles and a shoulder strap. First seen on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was later discontinued; a 2021 relaunch revived it. With versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins, the line sits at the top of Coach’s leather range. The highest Coach bag price observed in 2026 was for a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.
Coach also offers a Made-to-Order Rogue, which has reportedly taken about 12 weeks, or close to 16 weeks with exotic materials. Through Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also appeared. Many collectors see the Rogue as a demonstration of how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
Empire Carryall
The Empire Carryall, sold as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, has an elongated, east-west top-handle shape. It reached shoppers in February 2025, after its showing on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway. Fashion press reported that it was sold out on its release day. Softer variants, called Soft Empire and including a Soft Empire 40, are separate from the structured Carryall 34.
The Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475 on Coach’s own online store in the UK. Its long top-handle shape turns it into a smarter alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. As 34 and 40 are different bags, anyone comparing listings should look closely at the number after the name.

The Kisslock Family: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Coach links the Kisslock motif to the Bonnie Cashin era; the name refers to a frame clasp based on vintage coin purses. Various different bags share the term, and they should not be confused. Described in reports as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was observed selling for $350. Because earlier Kisslock Frame versions also appear in listings, the family may predate that show.
Now, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 appears mainly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved; it is an older style with quilted nappa leather and rivets. Drawn from a 1973 design, the Kisslock Barrel Bag arrived as a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue. The name found yet another use after a Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026.
Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
Made up of newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals offers bags that are new rather than vintage. Coach traces the original Swinger design back to 1987; today it is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag fitted with a turnlock. The current version is the Swinger Bag 20, which is also offered With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. The Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag drawn from a 1998 design, so the two names are not interchangeable.
Other Originals reported in early 2025 took in the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. Reports suggest that the Coach Originals name was already being used by 2020. For buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a genuinely vintage piece, the line makes sense.
Soho Sorted: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Applied to three different products, Soho is among the most confusing names in the Coach catalog. In 2006, the original Soho Flap was introduced. Offered in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard, the Soho Bag 25 is a newer, smaller reissue as opposed to that 2006 bag. Soho styles are part of The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also appeared in listings.
The Soho Sneaker, by contrast, is footwear that Coach has showcased in 2025 and 2026, so it belongs with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search makes it easier to separate the bags from the shoe. No reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, so check Coach’s own website before buying.
Willow, Cassie and Juliet
These three lines are recognizable, but none has a documented launch year, so treat any date you see online with caution. The Willow Tote 24, a Willow Shoulder bag and a Willow Bucket have all belonged to Willow, a pebble-leather family. Coach’s own website has also offered a Custom Willow Tote, and the Willow Tote 24 is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag. Cassie is a design for crossbody and top-handle wear, including the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 featuring a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps.
Cassie styles have stayed listed on Coach’s own website under newer style codes. Offered in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Availability changes by season, so confirm that a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before trusting an older review.
All the Lines at a Glance: Observed Prices
In the table that follows, the main lines are grouped with their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price if one was reliably captured. Size, material, color and promotions all affect these numbers, which are observed market prices and not an official Coach price list. US prices exclude sales tax, whereas UK prices include VAT. Full-price styles can be reduced during sales, and a coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles.
Set up as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet trades through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. Coach’s head of investor relations, quoted in 2014, stated that about 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. Tapestry has since talked about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and the figure itself is dated. For current-season lines, Coach’s own website or a full-price coach store remains the place to go.
